Alexis Martin Neely, lawyer, author of Wear Clean Underwear and founder of the Kids Protection Plan is with us this week to candidly discuss with the topic of choosing a guardian for our children. This is something that I also am guilty of being very anxious about. My blood pressure goes up, my heart starts to race and I get REALLY stressed over it. Not good for my emotional health or physical health, is it? According to Alexis, over 70% of parents have not done what they need to!!! (I’m in that percentage, I’m sorry to admit.) So, she is here to help us deal with the stress and anxiety we may feel over guardianship by giving us simple tools to use.

She shares with us the additional warning signs we should look for with anyone we suspect may have an eating disorder which include having a disconnect in perception with their clothes and self image; swollen salivary glands which in turn manifests in having swollen cheeks (chipmunk cheeks); noticing mood changes such as irritability, depression, or anxiety; and being a perfectionist and also low self-esteem.
